Album Release

The Buffalo Band recently released the Martial Deception album at this season's last installment of Jazz in the Cave - an outstanding series presented by the Olmstead Salon. This is one of my favorite projects to date, and one I'm immensely proud of. We're taking it to New Hampshire next week, but for now, here's a track I wrote called "Radio." You can buy the album here. The Buffalo Band is myself, Zack Eldridge, and Geoff Countryman.

The Ghost Army - Friday, 11/13

Recently I've been involved in a project based around the Ghost Army, which was a unit of the US Army tasked with deceiving the German army into believing American troops were nearby when there were none. It's really an incredible story - inflatable tanks and planes, thousands of decoy radio transmissions, and a state of the art sound recording and broadcast effort. The music is a suite that includes sounds from the era, training film audio, and military recordings, all put together with compositions by myself, Geoff Countryman, and Zachary Eldridge to try and tell the Ghost Army's story sonically.

The show is happening on November 13th at 8 PM at the Firehouse Space. The Ghost Army documentary is currently streaming on Netflix.

Another Oktoberfest In The Books

To be honest, I never imagined Oktoberfest being one of the busiest seasons of the year, performance wise, buuuuuut MAN! I'm glad it is - this is a band full of some of the most professional, punctual, fun, and musical people with whom I could ever imagine spending an absurd amount of time, and this season was outstanding. The highlight was definitely a trip to Mexico for Oktoberfest at the Hercules Brewing Company, but there were plenty more good times. And, we released an album! All is well in the polka universe.
